November 29th, 2014 - Shane made a trip to Cochran Motor Speedway (Cochran, Georgia) over the weekend for the annual Gobbler 100 at the 1/2 mile oval.

The two-day, $10,000-to-win program for Limited Late Models saw a field of twenty-four entries register for battle. Shane starting his outing by posting the third fastest lap in time trials on Friday night, sending him to the dash. A second place finish in the dash positioned him starting outside-front-row for Saturday's 50 lap finale.

When the race went green, Clanton out-dueled pole-sitter, Wil Herrington to lead the opening lap. From there, Shane went unchallenged for the flag-to-flag victory over Hunter Peacock, Blake Smith, Herrington and Kelly Walker.

Thirty-one Super Late Models converged on the 1/3 mile oval for the Turkey Gobble 50, which boosted a $5,000 top prize. Preliminary action saw Clanton timing in third overall during qualifications to lock into the third starting spot for the finale. In the main event Shane drove his #25 Weldbank Energy/Capital Race Car/Clements Race Engine entry to a second place finish behind race winner, Donald McIntosh. Dylan Ames, Riley Hickman and Mike Marlar rounded out the top five finishers.

1November 16th, 2014 - Shane Clanton continued his 2014 season over the weekend with a trip to Needmore Speedway (Norman Park, Georgia) for the Early Bird 75.

The $10,000-to-win program drew a field of thirty-seven Super Late Models to the South Georgia oval, and via qualifications on Saturday Clanton locked into the third starting spot for his heat race. He went on to win his heat race, earning him the third starting spot for Sunday's 75 lap finale.

Shane had high hopes for the main event unfortunately, an early-race incident would leave him with heavy right-front damage to his #25 Weldbank Energy/Capital Race Car/Clements Race Engine entry. He retired to a disappointing 22nd place finish.

1November 8th, 2014 - The 2014 World of Outlaws (WoO) Late Model Series drew to a close over the weekend with the 8th Annual World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway (Concord, North Carolina).

Seventy-five entries converged on the state-of-the-art oval on Thursday night for a pair of qualifying rounds, which determined the heat race line-ups for Friday and Saturday nights, $12,000-to-win events.

On Friday night Shane raced from his fourth starting spot to finish second in heat race action, earning him the thirteenth starting spot on the feature grid. Clanton battled the handle on his #25 entry throughout the main event, ultimately settling to a disappointing 22nd place finish.

Saturday night would continue to be filled with disappointment for the team. Following struggles in his heat race Shane would have to run a b-main, where he failed to reach a transfer position to the 50 lap finale. As a result he would have to utilize a series provisional to lock into the 26th starting spot on the feature grid. Clanton went on to register a 25th place finish in the final rundown.

1November 2nd, 2014 - Shane Clanton took his #25 Weldbank Energy/Capital Race Car/Clements Race Engine Super Late Model into battle over the weekend during the 40th Annual National 100 at East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Alabama).

Thirty-three Super Late Models converged on the 3/8 mile oval for the $20,000-to-win, unsanctioned program. Shane qualified eleventh overall amongst the field on Saturday night, and later finished third in his heat race to lock into the eleventh starting spot on the feature grid.

In Sunday evening's 100 lap finale, Clanton battled around mid-pack for much of the event before settling to a sixteenth place finish in the final rundown.

1October 25th, 2014 - The weekend saw Shane Clanton returning to the state of Mississippi to compete in the 20th Annual Coors Light Fall Classic, which was held at Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi).

The $15,000-to-win program drew a stout field of forty-eight entries to the 1/3 mile oval. In preliminary action on Friday night Shane would charge to a convincing heat race win, which positioned starting fifth in 100 lap finale on Saturday.

Clanton battled around the top five throughout the course of the event before ultimately settling to a solid seventh place finish at the checkered flag.

October 11th, 2014 - Shane was in action at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) over the weekend as he participated in the annual Magnolia State Cotton Pickin' 100.

A talented field of seventy-two Super Late Models registered for battle at the 3/8 mile oval, and via time trails on Friday night Clanton locked into the sixth starting spot for his heat race. He went on to record a third place finish, which positioned him starting eighteenth in Saturday night's main event. Shane battled around mid-pack throughout the 100 lap finale as he advanced to a twelfth place in the final rundown.

1October 5th, 2014 - Shane Clanton entered a pair of $10,000-to-win, Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) events in his home-state of Georgia over the weekend.

The opening event was held on Saturday night at Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Georgia), with a stout field of forty-five entries registered. Shane raced to a third place finish in his heat race to lock into the tenth starting spot for the feature. He went on to finish ninth in the 50 lap main event.

Action shifted to Rome International Speedway (Rome, Georgia) on Sunday evening. Thirty-four competitors registered for the event, and were greeted with heavy and rough track conditions. Clanton finished fourth in the first heat race, earning him the thirteenth starting spot on the feature grid. In the finale Shane retired early to a 21st place finish.

1September 27th, 2014 - After a much needed week away from the track, Shane made a triumphant return to competition over the weekend in the annual Alabama State Championships at East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Alabama). (Eric Gano Photo)

Thirty-nine competitors registered for Saturday's opening round, which was sanctioned by the Southern All Star (SAS) Racing Series. Clanton earned the third starting spot in the $4,000-to-win feature via qualifications. He trailed race-long leader, Ray Cook until contact with a lapped car gave Shane the opportunity he needed to seize the top spot. With Cook out of contention, Clanton went un-challenged for the remainder of the event for his third victory of the season over Mack McCarter, Clint Smith, Riley Hickman and Tom Maddox.

The finale for the Alabama State Championships was contested on Sunday afternoon, which was again sanctioned by the SAS Racing Series and boosted a $4,000 winner's check. Shane posted the fastest lap in his respective group during time trials before going on to register a fourth place finish in the main event behind race winner, Randy Weaver, Riley Hickman and Chris Madden. Chris Wilson completed the top five finishers.

1September 13th, 2014 - It was back to business with the World of Outlaws (WoO) Late Model Series over the weekend. Shane enjoyed an exceptional outing as the tour invaded Berlin Raceway (Marne, Michigan) for the 3rd Annual Keyser Manufacturing Down 'N Dirty weekend. The 7/16 mile oval, which typically operates as a paved oval, was covered in dirt for the event.

Friday night's program was nixed by rain, setting the stage for a $15,000-to-win finale on Saturday night. Thirty-three Super Late Models registered for the event, and Shane started the night by qualifying third fastest in Group B of time trials. He went on to finish second in his heat race, locking him into the eighth starting spot for the 65 lap finale. In the main event, Clanton advanced to a third place finish behind race winner, Darrell Lanigan and Tim McCreadie. Rick Eckert and Scott Bloomquist rounded out the top five finishers.

Festivities began on Thursday night with 117 cars in the pit area as the field was divided into a pair of $5,000-to-win events. Shane earned the second starting spot for his heat race via qualifications, and went on to race to a second place finish to lock into the 25 lap, preliminary feature in the eighth starting spot. Clanton raced around the top ten for much of the event before slipping to an eleventh place finish in the final rundown.

Friday's program again found the field divided into a pair of $5,000-to-win races, and after qualifying 30th quickest in time trials he started second in his heat race before racing to a third place finish, which positioned him starting fifteenth in the 25 lap main event. Shane went on to take the checkered flag in the seventeenth position.

The weekend drew to a close on Saturday evening with the final night of the crown jewel. With heat race line-ups being determined by a driver's performance on the preliminary nights Shane started fourth in his heat race and finished fourth, sending him to a b-main. Clanton went on to finish fourth in the b-main, but only the top three finishers advanced to the 100 lap, $47,000-to-win finale, bringing his weekend to an early end.
