Top-10 finish in Pittsburgher 100
After saturated grounds wiped out Friday night’s event at Raceway 7 (Conneaut, Ohio), Shane Clanton followed the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) to Pittsburgh Pa. Motor Speedway (Imperial, Pa.) on Saturday for the 32nd annual Pittsburgher 100. In a field of 35 cars, Clanton posted the second fastest time in his qualfiyng group behind Michael Norris before picking up a 10-lap heat race victory. Starting the $20,000-to-win Pittsburgher 100 in third, Shane was one of several cars that suffered a flat tire late in the 100-lapper, dropping him from third in the final two laps to place eighth.(Heath Lawson photo)
Shane is currently sixth in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
