Fourth-place with LOLMDS at 411

Friday night saw Shane Clanton return with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) at 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tenn.) for the Tennessee’s Action Track 50. Drawing 38 cars, Clanton followed up the fourth fastest time in his qualifying group with a 10-lap heat race victory. Starting the $12,000-to-win A-Main in fourth, Shane held his spot for all 50-laps to place fourth behind Jimmy Owens, Cory Hedgecock, and Jonathan Davenport with Shanon Buckingham coming in fifth. The following night at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) for the EZ-Go 50, Shane slipped back to a ninth place outing in his heat, transferring him into the B-Main. Failing to place third or better, Clanton was granted a provisional into the main event. With $12,000 on the line, Shane Clanton was an early retiree from the 50-lapper on the third lap.

Shane remains in eighth in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
