Starting on the third row of his heat race on Thursday, Shane gained three spots to register a runner-up finish. Earning the 12th-starting position for the $54,000-to-win World 100, Clanton faded back to a 19th-place outing when the checkered flag flew.
On Friday afternoon as the 50th annual World 100 got underway, Clanton’s third-place finish in his heat race pinned him 12th on the starting grid for the preliminary feature. With $10,000 on the line, Shane logged a 14th-place finish.
Slated to start on the pole of his heat race on Saturday night, Shane suffered a broken driveshaft as the field went green, creating a chain-link tangle. He was a scratch from the remainder of the evening.Back to News
