Shane Clanton bags Top-10 finish at Muskingum County

Friday night found Shane Clanton in action at Portsmouth Raceway Park (Portsmouth, Ohio) celebrating his Fourth of July weekend with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS). With 25 Late Models on hand for the Independence 50, Shane recorded a sixth-place finish in his heat, which positioned him 18th on the starting grid for the opening night feature. He was an early retiree from the 50-lapper on lap 29.

The following night at Muskingum County Speedway (Zanesville, Ohio) for the Prime Solutions 50, Clanton finished fifth in his heat before picking up a 10-lap consolation victory. With $15,000 on the line in the main event, Shane advanced forward seven spots to come in 10th. (Heath Lawson photo)

Shane is currently eighth in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
