Double Dreams draws Clanton to Eldora

Skyline Motorsports pilot Shane Clanton invaded Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Wednesday afternoon to kick off the 27th annual Dirt Late Model Dream with four nights of racing. With the 74-car field split into two separate groups for a pair of preliminary features, Shane locked his spot into the $10,000-to-win A-Main with a fourth-place finish in his heat. Rolling off 16th, Clanton marched forward eight spots in the 25-lap affair to finish eighth.

With preliminary results on Wednesday pinning him fifth on the starting grid for his heat race, Clanton recorded a fifth-place finish, transferring him into the B-Main for another shot at the $127,000-to-win Dirt Late Model Dream. Locking in the Top 3, Shane fell short with a sixth-place outing. He earned a spot into one of two scrambles but fell short of winning with a third-place finish.

On Saturday afternoon, Clanton grabbed the third-and-final transfer spot in his heat race, which positioned him 18th on the starting grid for the $126,000-to-win finale. Wheeling his way into the Top-10, Shane passed 11 cars in the 100-lapper to register a seventh-place finish.
