Clanton claims first win of 2022 at Senoia Raceway

Benefitting from long hours in the shop and knowledge gained during Speedweeks, Shane Clanton raced to his first win of the 2022 season on Saturday night at Senoia Raceway. The driver, known as “The Georgia Bulldog,” pocketed $10,053 for his Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals winning performance aboard his Skyline Motorsports No. 25 Bennett Explosives/ Super K Express/ Capital Race Cars/ Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model.

"We worked our tails off at Capital Race Car to build a new race car here," Clanton said in Victory Lane. "We didn't show much in Florida (during Speedweeks), but we learned a lot, and to make the right adjustments at the right time, and tonight we done that. A big thank you goes out to Skyline Motorsports and all of our great sponsors, who make this race team possible."

Shane Clanton made the short trip to Senoia Raceway (Senoia, Ga.) on Saturday evening, where he entered his Skyline Motorsports No. 25 Capital Race Car into battle with the Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals.

With 32 Late Models on hand, Clanton secured his spot into the main event with a heat race victory. Sliding ahead of polesitter Chris Madden on the second circuit, Shane led the remaining distance of the 53-lapper to capture his first win of the season and a$10,053 payday.

Dylan Knowles, Mark Whitener, Michael Page, and Sam Seawright completed the Top-5 finishers.
