Top-10 finish on Saturday at Bristol Motor Speedway

On Friday evening, Shane Clanton returned behind the wheel of the Skyline Motorsports No. 25 Late Model at Bristol Motor Speedway (Bristol, Tenn.) for the Bristol Dirt Nationals. Drawing 37 XR Super Series entries as the 2022 campaign came to life, Clanton edged his way into the opening night feature with a third-place finish in his heat. For another $50,000-to-win A-Main on Saturday, Shane timed in fourth-fastest in his group before placing third in his heat. Rolling off 11th for the main event, Clanton clawed forward three spots in the 50-lap affair to finish eighth.
