Clanton returns to Bristol for doubleheader finale

Shane Clanton returned to the dirt-covered Bristol Motor Speedway (Bristol, Tenn.) on Friday afternoon for the final two rounds of the Bristol Dirt Nationals. After missing a transfer spot in his heat race, Clanton secured his spot into the A-Main with a fourth-place finish in his B-Main. The following night, Shane timed in 11th-fastest in his qualifying group before placing third in his heat. Starting the $50,000-to-win Bristol Dirt Nationals finale in 10th, Clanton was an early retiree from the 50-lap affair. He was credited with a 23rd-place finish.
