The World of Outlaws (WoO) Case Late Model Series victory was worth $10,000 and came at the legendary Williams Grove Speedway.

“When you turn into the corner, if you turn in too low, you just shove and go across the racetrack, and (Gustin) went flying across it,” Clanton said of his opening-lap pass that propelled him to victory past pole sitter, Ryan Gustin. “I just entered hard enough into the turn to get below him in turn two and that was all I needed. We were pretty good on Saturday night at Sharon (Speedway) too and came away from there with a third.

“I’m really proud of this team and all of the gains we’ve made this year. We’re geared up to go after more wins this weekend at Davenport (Speedway).

Shane Clanton headed east on Thursday afternoon to kick off three nights of racing with the World of Outlaws (WoO) Case Late Model Series with a visit to Williams Grove Speedway (Mechanicsburg, Pa.).

In a field of 30 cars, Shane laid down the second-fastest time in his group before placing first in his heat. Receiving the second-starting position for the feature via the redraw, Clanton took possession of the lead on the drop of the green flag and led wire-to-wire in the 40-lapper to claim his fifth win of the season and a $10,000 prize.

He recorded his 47th-career WoO triumph ahead of Max Blair, Ryan Gustin, Tanner English, and Rick Eckert.

For the Battle at the Border on Saturday at Sharon Speedway (Hartford, Ohio), Clanton secured his spot into the $10,000-to-win A-Main with a heat race triumph. Rolling off third, Shane carried a steady pace in the 40-lap affair, crossing the line in third. He trailed Devin Moran and Ryan Gustin to the checkers.

Sunday's contest at Tri City Raceway Park (Franklin, Pa.) fell victim to Mother Nature.

Shane climbed to ninth in the latest WoO driver point standings, and Skyline Motorsports sits third in the latest WoO team standings.
