Two Top-10 finishes with XR Super Series at All-Tech
Shane Clanton returned with the XR Super Series on Friday at All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Fla.) for the Sunshine State 50.
On Friday, Clanton recorded the fifth-fastest lap in qualifying before going on to win his heat race. Clanton started on the front row of the $20,000 feature event and faded early before eventually finishing ninth after 40-laps.
Clanton began Saturday's $40,000-to-win event by once again qualifying fifth-quickest out of 28 Late Models. With a second place finish in his heat race, Clanton lined up on the third row for the 50-lap feature. Clanton ran in the Top-5 for much of the race before slipping back to seventh when the checkers flew.
Clanton finished out the 2022 XR Super Series season with a second-place points effort.
