Clanton races into pair of Dairyland Showdown events at Mississippi Thunder Speedway

Making the very long trek to Wisconsin, Shane Clanton was one of 44 World of Outlaw Late Models at Mississippi Thunder Speedway (Fountain City, Wis.) on Friday afternoon for the rain-shortened Dairyland Showdown.

Losing Thursday's opener to lingering showers, Clanton snuck his way into the $25,000-to-win feature through a last chance showdown but recorded a DNF.

The following night, Shane grabbed the final transfer spot in his stacked heat race and raced to a 16th-place finish in $30,000-to-win finale.
